Years Developing Athletes
After graduating college, I worked a year as a baseball trainer at D-BAT back home in Georgia, then quit to chase my dream of playing pro ball — grinding through indy ball on and off for two years. When that chapter closed, I came home to build my business.
Today I run Balloutboys Athletics, a baseball and softball player development program out of metro Atlanta. I've coached athletes into colleges, premier high schools, and travel organizations — and now I'm scaling my business by the grace of God to reach as many players as possible.
I wrote this book to let kids know it's possible to become a pro. But the real question is: are you willing to put in the work behind closed doors — the work pros actually do when nobody's watching?
That means keeping God first and holding unshakeable faith. It means using law-of-attraction and visualization to see it before you live it. And it means staying aligned with your higher purpose — using the game you love not just to chase your own dream, but to help others get there too.

Coach Ned’s story of getting cut and fighting his way back made it more relatable when earning your spot. You can tell he’s actually lived what he’s teaching and It’s short enough to finish in a sitting but I keep going back to it before games. Any high school player serious about the next level should read this.

This is the first training book I've read that connected the weight room, the field, and everything I do in between. The nutrition and sleep sections were my wake-up call. I was doing everything right for 2 hours and nothing for the rest of the day. Coach Ned writes like he's talking to you in the cage, not lecturing you. The 'My Story' parts made me finish it in one sitting, because he doesn't hide the part where it didn't go his way. If you're a high school player trying to separate yourself, this is the playbook."

What stood out was how practical it is, every chapter gives you something you can use that same week. The work ethic section made me realize how much of my 'training' was just going through the motions. Coach Ned's path from getting cut to playing pro is what stuck with me, because he's honest about how long it took. If you want to know what separates the guys who move on from the ones who don't, read this.
